I got about 30 pages in before sacking this off. I should have known from the first page it was going to be poor. The first page purports to be an FBI document describing Atlee Pine. It uses the phrases “religiously pump iron” and “bewitching” as well as describing her favourite song. I cannot imagine the FBI give a fiddlers about their agents favourite songs and also nobody has a favourite song by Fergie anyway! Atlee Pine is one big cliché. I’m very disappointed as I never read a David Baldacci before and was hoping for something Michael Connellyesque. Michael can sleep soundly. He is not under threat from this series anyway.
