I stumbled upon this series and it did not disappoint! Hugh Laurie is great, as a neuro psychiatrist who finds himself caught in complex web of his own making. I particularly liked the psych dx and medical dialogue, along with great writing and humor. The second season is far better, with a well developed plot and fleshed-out characters. "D" is first introduced as a peripheral character and simultaneously steals the show. I cannot stop watching him, savoring is wisdom , intellect, and unique brand of kindness. Ethan Suplee does an amazing job with this charcter, and I'm left wanting more. Nicole, the protagonist's daughter, is alo really good as is her Mom. Again, it was a pleasant surprise; I had no expectations other than being a Hugh Laurie fangirl, and I truly enjoyed this series,.
