This was the perfect beach read. I had a very hard time putting it down. It definitely has a very “White Lotus” vibe to it. It starts off with finding a body at the end of the summer then the story goes back to the beginning of the summer when all the wealthy families arrive to “summer” in their idyllic oceanfront homes. The first part of the book you are thinking about “who is dead body” but you get so wrapped up in the gossip, affairs, backstories that you have to remind yourself one of these people are either “the body” or perhaps “the killer”. It’s a very fun and satisfying read. It’s one of those books that you try to read more slowly at the end because you don’t want it to end…much like summer.
