the young woman who plays the protagonist is a brilliant actress. maddie the child star is a sweetheart. unfortunately they went over the top sometimes with andie 's bipolar episodes. extremely difficult to watch. i had to turn it off for awhile because it all was such a true depiction of a single mom doing her best. what a hero
