With the benefit of hindsight and dotage, I can see FYP was Ferry’s aural treatise on his love of his Pop Art training under Richard Hamiltons tutelage. The liquid production of genius songwriting and style of delivery; still stands up in 2024. Yes the past influences are all there, but Ferry’s prescience and trend setting for a future generation of music makers and consumers, is undeniable.
