Fantastic storytelling and description. Rivals albums Reign in Blood and Hell Awaits by Slayer in atmosphere and brutality. In fact, there are quite a few parallels between Slayer's Angel of Death and this book. Really just stellar descriptive writing and one of the best in religious horror I have read. Well done.
