The original had a wonderful storyline and was done masterfully. This 2024 remake was a complete and utter failure. 2 addicts that met in teen challenge or something and fell in love in a matter of weeks, at the most. So many holes in the new story it's barely watchable. Brutal murders of security guards at "the play" scene and not sure if they were evil or just event security. I assumed they were event security at best since not one could land a head shot. Music soundtrack doesn't compare. They could've done another sequel but no, they had to remained the original. The film is directed by Rupert Sanders who lacked any vision compared to his film Snow White which was decent, and written by Zach Baylin whom should stick to writing for real events. Zach Baylin is a terrible fiction writer and creates confusion when he tries, and William Josef Schneider shouldnt have even been allowed any creative input. It is being distributed by Lionsgate whom can afford to release garbage and not be hurt by it. 1/10 would not watch again. 1 hr and 40 minutes of my life wasted. Thanks for destroying a classic Lionsgate. Not looking forward to anything from any of these people either:
