In the first place, it was a mistake to choose Blake Lively for this role with supposedly deep characterization. Had the cast team been mindful, they should have checked Blake’s history and experience in Hollywood acting. It’s very minimal and all light roles plus those were ages ago. It doesn’t align at all. There are too many sensational actresses who would’ve nailed it and give justice to this movie let alone the impactful and emphatic message that this was supposed to convey. I have been hesitant to watch it until now, for the mere thought that you have the wrong actress, though it’s not her fault that she doesn’t have such talent. She is definitely gifted in other aspects. The male actors I believe have made this movie compelling and make those audience having second thoughts to go and watch it anyway.
