I think this game is something incredible. The environments are great, combat variety feels fulfilling enough to change based on the preferred fighting styles in the enemy fights, and bosses are usually memorable (for better or worse). The story is incredible is evolving Hornet based on the past game, and simply putting her in the shoes of being a hero she never originally set out to be.
While I was heavily against the 2 masks of damage on a large amount of the game, I think it's just something you have to learn to live with and at some point of the game you will get used to taking two hits and learning to play more carefully than simply trying to blitz them at any possible moment unlike Hollow Knight. This game seems to be more about having precise hits instead of just simply countering and punishing openings.
