Deepak John Cletus Menezes

This is the first book I have read by Kate Mosse. She reminds me of Wilbur Smith. But not yet there! She keeps the reader captivated but spends unnecessary time delaying the climax ! Anyways looking forward to read some more of her oeuvre.

This is the 3rd book I have read by Anne Holt and by far the best so far. The others were mediocre as compared to this one. Edge of the seat entertainment. Hard to put down.

I have given it four stars for the english translation by Archibald Colquhoun. Beautiful prose well written and encapsulates the intent of the original. However the story will be well understood by Italians!

This is the second book I have read from Anne Holt. Its ending is very sad . She knows how to captivate the reader with surprises . An entertaining read! It is better than 1222 .

This is the first book I have read from this author. I heard about her work through a BBC program. It started well and kept me captivated but the ending was very predictable. I hope to read more books from her in the near future.

Honestly I was quite bored with this form and writing. These hints at homosexuality and porn were getting too monotonous. He has been touching these subjects in all his books including emancipation and freedom and women. There was nothing new!

i am giving it 4 stars as it is very entertaining and hard to put down. The prose is lucid and understandable . However, the character of Paul is very bipolar and cannot be understood. His affairs are ephemeral and its ending is something to be desirable. Nevertheless, it delves into sex and temptation and keeps the reader engaged wanting for more.

well written and a coming of age story from years gone by during the industrial revolution and colliery business in England. Those days this was a controversial subject dealing with emancipation of women and sexual freedom.

Tessa Hadley is a sex and relationship goddess. She starts off and keeps the readers captivated in the middle but it is clear that towards the end she tries to bring in characters just to fill the pages and make the book reach 300 pages. However all is forgiven as this book touches the topic of everyday modern life scenarios.

Very interesting book. It sheds light and a feeling of empathy for refugees and the countries they have left . Their lives upended amidst war, famine etc. well written and keeps the reader occupied!
