The only thing going for this movie is the cinematography, set design and costumes. The acting was poor, dry, and Elvis for some reason had no emotion to him whatsoever. It was tiring and felt like a chore to watch.
The story behind it is extremely sad, but the movie doesn't help at all. It's just some boring film which captures the negatives of everything and doesn't really show Priscilla's characters feelings that well. Theres a few shots of her crying and looking empty, but theres really no scenes which include her actually feeling emotions.
Somehow the movie was incredibly slow and long while also fast. There were so many time jumps which made everything seem even more empty. It goes from her announcing her pregnancy to immediately her with a huge bump and then in the hospital.
This movie can only be really compared to 'Elvis', and that movie was done brilliantly. This movie feels like a disgrace to Priscilla. I love her and I commend her for what she had gone through over the course of her life, but the movie had so much potential that they didn't even bother reaching.
Jacob did a horrible job at Elvis, depicting him with multiple personalities, being mumbly and dry, a mass cheater and a douche. Why was he created to be someone completely different in his movie? This character vs the one in his named movie are just two different people, and although this one is seen in the eyes of Priscilla, it makes absolutely no sense on why he is a complete different portrayed person.
If you want to watch this, pirate it or save 2 hours of your life. Do NOT waste your money on this movie.
