I can say this movie is particularly striking in the way it develops the theme of love as a universal concept. It in a way suggests that love does not happen because we have a lot in common with those we love, just as Yasmin and Brenda are of totally different backgrounds. But love happens because we have one thing in common - we are human, and that is a commonality enough to make us love each other no matter our differences.
