Went along today Saturday September 25th with some of the family to see Dickinsons Real deal after seeing it advertised in a full page spread in the Buxton Advertiser. Some of them are avid watches of the programme and couldn't wait to see the Duke live in action perhaps take a photo and get his autograph.Only to be approached by a guy in a white shirt who apparently was a contractor for a company working alongside the ITV programme. He said that because we didn't have anything to value we were not allowed in.We entered at the main door that has a revolving door at the entrance. David Dickinson could be seen at the other end of the dome which is quite a distance away. We asked if we could take a photograph at that distance and again refused. While we were there another guy in a suit wearing a mask called Norris who worked as a contractor for IT V came up to us explaining that David would not be able to touch anything from outside in order to sign an autograph. This confused us all as he does handle the items that he is valuing. We explained that we were prepared to get a distance photo without going near him which he didn't seem to understand. His English wasn't very good. But surely he has to be fairly close to the public bringing in their items to value. There was nothing in the Adverisement in the paper to say you would be refused admission if you didn't have anything.Basically inviting you to come along and see the Duke in action. We all left feeling very disappointed and only wish David knew of this
