Oh my gosh. I have never been as profoundly affected by a movie as I have by A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood. Growing up in Canada I did not watch Mr. Rogers Neighborhood. Our version was Mr. Dressup, whose actor (Ernie Coombs) used to work with Fred Rogers. I cannot even really put it into words ... I came out of this movie wanting to be a better person and wishing I could have watched Mr. Rogers as a child. How many movies can stir up that kind of emotion? Amazing performances - I have never been so enthralled by a movie!
