Great movie but several actors are not credited in the cast, I.e., Tom Sizemore and Jason Robards.

The screen writer's have done a good job capturing the spirit of this great Dashell Hammett character. Just watched the first three episodes and will continue to tune in to see if he is able to solve the crime and to protect his inherited ward Terresa.

It had a believable story line with well paced action than holds your attention.

You would be wrong to judge this subject matter boring, that is, trying to develop a dictionary that In compasses all the known words in the English language. Why? Because this movie has much more to say to us about treating mental health, about friendship, about how great a task it was, and continues today, to properly define our English language with all of its words and definitions. The movie also pokes holes into British snobbery and in particular, the divisions at Oxford college on how to go about completing this great task. Casting Mel Gibson as the dedicated intelligent Scotsman who showed the British snobs how to get this great task started was a smart bit of casting in itself. And Sean Penn as the madman brought the story a much wider scope touching on insanity and genius, retribution and humor in ways not often tried enough in today’s movies. If you enjoy an intelligent story made interesting and thought provoking in a movie format, you will enjoy this movie.
