Actually grossed me out. For those unaware, in the original material Montag was married (to a woman named Mildred who is a main factor of Montag's character in the book) and Clarisse was a 17 year old girl filled with questions and curiosity.
Now, they completely erased Mildred and must have aged up Clarisse, because they force a romance between Montag and her which has me feeling physically ill. At one point Beatty tells Montag to "keep his d*** in his pants" when referring to Clarisse. Just. Ew.
They also erased the majority of what made the book characters interesting and individual: Beatty's internal fight and Clarisse' young wonder are practically nonexistent. Also too much focus on the modern trope and less on the storyline of the source material.
If I could rate 0 stars, I would...
