An absurd, hilarious, moving statement on Romania in particular, but the world wide puritanical opinions of love, art, women, power, and ignorance. At times I felt the message was being hammered into the heads of the audience, but it turns out to be a great โthinkingโ project, pointing out the inability of most people to see, much less accept, the insolence of most people in our world and their inability to see themselves and their own ignorance and self awareness. The film raises the word โsheepleโ to describe most of the people we met through this film, and it certainly proves its point magnificently!! The film is a brisk walk through Bucharestโs history, denial of that history, misogyny and the general publicโs ignorance of the overall conflicts it faces at all times. But the film also shows us that the attitudes portrayed in Bucharest is just the same as we see in every other society in our world of today. I couldnโt help but see many of the humanity that blindly follow our 45th President here in the United States. A WONDERFUL piece of cinema art in ALL ways. No matter what you feel about the picture, be sure to stay all the way to itโs surprising ending!
