I really wanted this show to be good, i understand when games, books, ect go to tv things need to be changed. However they had 20 years worth of games, books, ect to draw from and they didnt use any of it. It feels like they took basic notes on everything and then made a show that isnt anywhere near the universe i know. The begining of episode one started off great, then it just goes down hill from there. If you go into the show with a multiverse perspective then you might like it. I however have played every game, and read every book so this was a major change to me. The whole event between master chief and the unsc never happened. Also where are kelly, linda, and fred? and why did they replace them with these unknown spartans? As a fan i didnt like the story theyre going with, however if youre not a halo fan but like scifi shows youll probably like this. Some of the cgi was wonky but visually most things were pretty good. The opening battle scene was brutal! I will most likely continue to watch the show to see where they are taking it, but im not happy with the major changes. Its watchable, but major fans might not be to pleased.
