I was really disappointed because I thought this film was going to be so much better, but it was boring, awful, unscary, pointless film I never seen. As I said the film wasn’t scary at all very bad jump scares and I didn’t feel tense at all watching this film. Other things that annoyed me about the film was the acting, poor characters that were played by wooden actresses. Honestly in my opinion the acting was so terrible in this film, except the man who played Wolf Man, I mean he wasn’t super either, but he’s the only one I felt who showed up enough to earn a paycheck. The young girl was annoying, I’m sorry I just didn’t like her, she got on my nerves through out this film. Some may like her and thought she was cute, but she can’t act, her character was annoying and too wooden. Example that one scene later in the film where both the little girl and mom come across that dismembered body, I mean it was real bloody, notice the little girl didn’t scream or looked terrified at all, that was so unrealistic and too wooden of acting. Speaking of wooden acting the lady who played mom, her acting credentials and skills aren’t even worth EBT food stamps. She is that atrocious, I mean the studio hired the most unattractive, unskilled white female to play this part, not to mention her acting is severely wooden. I thought the writing and directing was an abomination as well, the direction of the film bad, film not scary at all for a horror film. Frankly for one i thought the film was a waste of time and I honestly can say I have no intention of ever watching this film again. The only silver lining I have to say about watching this film, I was smart enough to pay seeing it on discount Tuesdays at my theater, I only paid $4.50 to watch this trash. If y’all thought I was a jerk or mean in my review, trust me it would’ve been 3xs meaner had I paid $14.50 full price to see this dumpster fire.

Deadpool and Wolverine without a doubt is a fantastic movie, it’s actually mind boggling that some critics didn’t like this gem, fantastic movie! Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman both were outstanding! Action scenes and the gore were top notch. I loved Channing Tatum’s Gambit, great to see him play the character he’s always wanted to play, he got Gambit down. Of course it was tremendous to see both Wesley Snipes and Jennifer Garner reprise their Fox roles, especially Garner for me, I always wanted her to get another crack at Elektra. Now here’s the reasons why I rated 4 stars, I almost did 3, but I love the film so much, that I chose not to. I dropped my score for two reasons, minor one was I just felt Dafne Keen didn’t do a good job in this film or it could’ve been the writing on her part I don’t know. My second reason and this way more serious imo. Disney finally gets their hands back on Elektra and they didn’t do enough with her. Let’s get one thing straight Elektra is a violent, cold assassin, yet Disney didn’t let that side of her come out. Disney missed the opportunity to make Elektra rated R in this film. Anyhow, personally I sure hope Disney brings back Jennifer Garner back for her swan song for a solo Elektra Rated R film, that showcases her younger years and what in her life lead her to be that cold assassin for hire, that in her later years she turned more into an somewhat repentant anti-hero.

I just saw Abigail and I must say I didn’t feel disappointed at all. Honestly it’s a movie, that I wanted to see because I am a huge fan of some of the actors in it. I’m a huge Melissa Barrera fan because of her work in Scream 5 and 6, frankly i thought she was solid in Abigail as well. I’m a huge Kathryn Newton fan because of Freaky, she’s definitely one of the reasons why I gave this film a watch. Furthermore I’m big fan of Radio Silence versions of Scream, once I heard they directed this film, that was icing to me. Now on to the movie, I won’t give away too much plot to those who saw it, but I will say I was extremely impressed with the girl who played Abigail, Alisha Weir, straight up I never had heard of this kid before this film, but she is a good actress without a doubt. Alisha and the guy who played Frank in the film, sorry don’t know his name, but he was solid as well imo. The only thing I’ll say about the plot is it is just like Scream 6 in the sense of lots of gore, but it doesn’t have wall to wall horror, that probably will displease some horror fans, but personally I prefer the gore, I don’t need horror every two minutes in a film. I loved it, highly recommend it.

First of all I’ll start off by saying Madame Web was definitely better than Morbius. Truth be told I thought the film was little better than some superhero films of 2023, such as Antman, Flash, Shazam, and especially the Marvels. Yes the film does lack action, but anyone who knows the Madame Web character already knows she ain’t Black Widow or Shang-chi. It was extremely interesting to see Madame Web as a young woman before her powers and to see Ben Parker as a young man, as that’s never happened in movies or cartoon. I also liked the friendship between Ben and Cassie/Madame Web. The film wasn’t the absolute best, but it ain’t nearly as terrible as the critics and the folks who posted one star. Btw, speaking of those one star reviews, some of them claim anyone who rates this four or five stars must be bots. Seriously I’m starting to wonder the same of them, because so many of those comments have various names written by them, but you can tell some of them were made by the same person, with the same mindset. Some of the sentences are too identical, bringing up the same flaws, using the same words. Now the negatives of the film, just because I said the film wasn’t the worse, doesn’t mean there weren’t flaws. There were some things that were said or happened in the film, that didn’t add up. First of all, I didn’t get the reason Ezekiel Simms killed that woman he slept with. She seemed like a nice person and it just felt like an unnecessary kill. Second, Cassie could mentioned to her boss, don’t drive this ambulance, I have a bad feeling something will happen, possibly you getting killed. Most people usually pay attention when you tell them, they’re going to die. Third, the part where Ezekiel told his henchwoman to turn all the cameras green, that made no sense, that there wasn’t any crashes or no died in that scene, actually it’s dumb. The final thing that gets me is Madame Web’s blindness in the film, look I know that’s comic book accurate at all, but it makes zero sense, that Cassie’s visions have kept her out of harms way the entire film, then suddenly her visions don’t help her to keep her vision, that’s almost as important as her own life, just doesn’t make sense, that the future vision doesn’t happen when desperately needed. I’m sorry y’all I did think of another issue at the motel room, when Cassie was sleeping and Ezekiel visited in her dreams. Doesn’t make sense that Cassie did ask Ezekiel some important questions. Why are you so scared of these girls? Why are they trying to kill you? Will these girls turn evil in life? These are things I probably would’ve asked Ezekiel, if I were Cassie in that dream.

I’ve been to the theater to watch 13 different movies so far in 2023, including this one. There has been some films that really disappointed me or didn’t come to close my expectations, such as Antman, Spiderverse, and Shazam, then there has been others that really exceeded my expectations and I loved like Scream 6, Guardians of Galaxy, Megan, and now this film No Hard Feelings, obviously for different reasons. Seriously what is to dislike about this film, it’s extremely funny at moments, their was a couple of emotional scenes, there was good acting by Jennifer Lawrence and her lead male co-star. Honestly I’ve seen Lawrence in past films such in the last 3 X-Men films and Hunger Games, by far and I mean by far, this was the best I ever saw Jennifer act in a movie. She really looked and acted like she wanted to be in the movie, unlike a couple of the X-Men films. I must truly admit it was pure joy watching Jennifer Lawrence completely showing off her 9 body ( that’s my rating) with her in the nude and it was longer than 2 seconds y’all. Honestly this was a pleasant gem of a film for me to watch on Thursday previews and I can’t wait to watch it again in theaters Saturday on my next off day.

At the start of 2023 out of all the superhero films the Flash was the one I wanted and anticipated the most. After viewing the film I have good news and bad news. Good news it’s no where close to being the worst superhero film of the year. Bad news though the film could’ve been quite better. I have no issues with the story as some of the people who rated one star complained about, actually I loved it, especially where Barry gets reverse justice for his dad. The story is the only reason why I rate this film as high as 3 stars, if the casting had been much better, I would’ve ranked 4 stars. Speaking of the casting there is so much I disliked about it. I don’t where to start, I’ll start in any random order. The girl who played Iris West in this movie was a serious miscast. I’ll admit I be a little biased here, because to me the chick who played Iris on the CW Candance Patton can’t be replaced or no actress can measure up in that role, I’m sorry. Candance is a Goddess and absolutely beautiful from head to toenail. Not only that but Candance acts better, I truly wish she reprised Iris in this movie. Second complaint I did like this Supergirl Sasha Calle at all for many reasons. A little bit of the same complaint here as I had with Iris. Melissa Benoist by far is the better best Supergirl. Sasha is extremely bad. Now I can’t stress this enough I could care less that Sasha is Mexican or that she be rumored to be a lesbian in her personal life. That’s not why I’m hating on her. My biggest complaint with Sasha or maybe it’s the producers, I don’t know. This Supergirl looked way too much like a Lesbian to my liking, seriously and her voice sounded a little too masculine. To some these maybe stupid complaints, but to a straight male like myself, they are a serious deal. After all I’m one of the target audience that the Flash is supposed to appeal to and provide the most money to the box office. Supergirl in the comics and on the CW is portrayed as a straight alien/ woman from Krypton, who has all the feminine characteristics. Why change that in this movie? Third complaint I didn’t like the woman who played Nora Allen. On this one I won’t go into a long detailed explanation as to why, she doesn’t work for me. I’ll just say she’s bad and they could’ve choose better. I’ll leave it at that. Fourth complaint there was no Robert Pattinson in the film, to me Pattinson is the best Batman by far and the others don’t really measure up imo. I really hope one day there will be a future film that consists of Patinson’s Batman vs Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker. That would be dynamite. I’m sorry but the casting choices in this film really brought my score down. My opinion the film isn’t nearly as bad as the one stars reviews may suggest, but there was like a 30 to 40 minute window in the middle, where the film does get a little boring, but overall I slightly recommend.

I’m shocked at the time I wrote my review here the film overall had a 4.4 audience rating. I’m starting to think we have to many bots or actually way too many people who are high as bleep giving this film 5 stars. I’ll put my review this way I question myself if this film was as good as Morbius. Seriously Morbius was atrocious! At least Morbius had a villain and a ending ( even though both aspects were terrible.) I can’t really recommend this film, truthfully this is the worst superhero movie I’ve seen this year along with Quantamania and Shazam 2. Actually as I’m thinking about it now Shazam 2 was somewhat more enjoyable than this Spiderverse movie. As for my theater recommendations go watch Guardians of the Galaxy 3 which was outstanding and way way more enjoyable (story wise) than this. Over the next couple of weeks I’ll be watching Guardians again and the Flash next week, which I’m expecting good things from that film. Overall Spiderverse 2023 was way too weird at times, long, and very boring at times, unlike the first Spiderverse which was a masterpiece. I just can’t believe Sony arguably made a superhero film that is just as atrocious as Morbius, if not worse. I guess to anyone who is reading this review and is wondering did I find something/anything positive about the movie, I’ll say this the Gwen story was somewhat interesting, the interactions between she and her dad. Gwen’s dad struggles as a police officer to accept that his daughter is a superhero/vigilante, everything else was rubbish. It’s comical that Sony will expect all of us to go theaters again next year to continue watching this mess. Suggestions for next year who lot less of these oddball Spider side characters and more Gwen and Miles.

I am someone who loved the first Shazam movie as a matter of fact I still believe that’s one of the 5 best DC film I’ve seen. Here’s some of my biggest problem with this sequel, mainly it’s not no where as funny, it’s more boring and me knowing everything I saw in the both end credit scenes likely won’t happen ( more on that later) so it’s kind of like why get vested emotionally. Frankly I was going to give Shazam 2 one star, but as I think about it there were a couple of things things that I did like. I loved the special appearance of Gal Gadot ( especially since I didn’t know it was going to happen) even though her cameo was short, so yeah if you watched in theaters and went to the bathroom at the wrong time, chances are you missed it. Other thing I liked about this movie was we got to see the whole family use their powers as a group more example Mary and the kid who limbs. Now as for the end credit scenes, yes there are two and you can tell they were made before new current DC bosses took over. First one consists of 2 people sent from Amanda Waller to recruit Shazam to become a member of the Justice Society. Obviously this one was a continuation of Black Adam but with that films failure you just get the sense of that this is like the Black Adam vs Henry Cavill Superman tease( wont happen.) Second End Credit scene you see I forgot his name, but the villain from Shazam 1 still locked away in that same prison 2 years later and he gets visited again by the same worm who visited him last time promising he has a plan to him out and they will wreak havoc and then the worm slithers away. Like I said earlier it’s kind of ridiculous because anyone who been following DC news knows this likely won’t happen another tease.

The movie was okay to decent. Honestly it was more enjoyable and fun that Dr. Strange Multiverse. However overall it wasn’t nearly as good as Ragnorak. Even though the villain God Butcher was a good, Hella was so much better. Both Christian Bale and Kate Boslett were great as their respective villains in their films, I truly thought Kate’s performance and character were better. Love and Thunder overall is a good film, but it isn’t the best superhero film I’ve seen this year, that goes to the Batman. This movie actually did turn out better than what I thought it was going to be. Out of the Marvel and DC movies that have been to theaters so far this year, I rate as such: Batman 9/10 Thor 4 7/10 Dr. Strange 3.5/10 Furthermore this is a continuation of the original review 2 weeks ago. Seriously I’m in shock to anyone who gave this movie one star (or any movie really) and they publicly admit to not even watching the entire movie or walking out halfway through and they receive so many upvotes for that. If someone doesn’t like the movie that’s fine, but I can’t take any 1 star review seriously if you didn’t see the entire movie. Sometimes you get the feeling on these reviews people have all their friends and family to go upvote their comment.

Morbius unfortunately was a very bad film. Which was unfortunate because I really was looking forward going in. Acting was atrocious, especially the man who played FBI agent Rodriguez. The man should be in the running for the Razz award for worst actor easily. Adria Adjore I believe that’s her name, anyhow her acting wasn’t great either. However she is the only reason why I gave this movie a high 2 star rating. The woman is such eye candy to look at its unbelievable! I haven’t seen a woman this fine in a CBM movie this fine since Jurnee Smollett Belle and Margot Robbie from Birds of Prey. Adria is definitely on their level. Despite the gorgeous Latina eye candy on screen, that simply wasn’t enough to save this film. The film was boring. Thank god the movie was only an hour and 45 minutes. I had wondered why Sony was only forecasting/expecting the film to bring in 30 million domestically opening weekend. It’s plainly obvious to why after viewing. Sony knows this film isn’t good.
