This movie felt rushed. They wanted the music to be good and it accomplished that. Visually, it looked better than the original, but the original is a 5 star masterpiece with devoted character development, where as this one just kept skipping from scene to scene and left so much out becase6the music replaces a lot of substance from each character. The Color Purple 2023 should not exist, it's just not that good and should not have a 4 star rating.

This movie although good, lacks one of the most basic things.... ENGLISH SUBTITLES TO THE ITALIAN LANGUAGE. Very annoying to not understand ยพ of the movie because it's filmed in another language and not translated.
