It's scary, sad, and gives you a dreaded/doomed feeling about life. The scariest part to me is the TV watching scenes throughout the movie. Not knowing what it means but also knowing that it's unsettling and scary. The second scary thing is the screams and secretly watching parts. The first time I watched this, I was fine and didn't seem bothered by it that much. But I watched it for the second time earlier today and was able to put together (mostly) everything in the movie compared to the first time I watched it. I remember commenting on a post on FB about movies people refuse to watch again and I said this movie. And I was right. I should've never watched it again because I'm scared to go to sleep now, even though we have friends staying over this weekend. It has its own scariness to it compared to typical horror movies. In my opinion, it's less scary than Insidious. The eerie sounds in this movie are flat out scary. Especially when Tom wakes up hearing a scary noise and then seeing the "kid" watching the TV. That's the #1 scariest part to me. Wish me luck on going to sleep without any nightmares!
