The creators of the series should have invested more effort into researching the real lives of royals and the etiquettes they observe. The portrayal of royalty in the show lacks authenticity; the actors’ performances feel more like teenagers making social media reels than members of a regal lineage. It's particularly disappointing to see a legendary actress like Zeenat Aman take on such an underwhelming role. The very essence of the word royalty implies grace, dignity, and grandeur—none of which are reflected in the series. The casting choices are questionable. Bhumi Pednekar, with her visibly augmented lips, fails to embody the elegance required for such a character. Ishan Khatter, while talented, does not possess the commanding presence needed to convincingly portray a maharaja. Overall, with better casting decisions and more refined direction, the series could have lived up to its royal theme. As it stands, it feels more like a missed opportunity than a tribute to royalty.
