It's a good movie, it just had big shoes to fill. If I have a criticism the singing numbers are too long and break the flow of the movie.

What a fantastic book, the dialogue is sharp wit at its finest. Once you've read the book watch thr 1954 film. I don't think a better cast could ever be found to display this northern humour at its very best.
