I didnโt think I would like this show, but I genuinely enjoyed it. I love Alecโs movies, my favourite being โItโs Complicatedโ, it was enjoyable seeing hints of that character coming through and I realised the best bits of that character were just Alec being Alec. For that reason alone I am glad I watched it.
The impact of the Rust on set accident was really raw and at times hard to watch, I have deep empathy for all involved and seeing how it effected Alec and his family was at times difficult. Of course I also canโt help but think of Halyna Hutchinsโs family. The survivors guilt Alec has is definitely felt in this show.
My opinion of Hilaria is vastly different now to what it was before watching the show. She is a great mother and definitely not what you expect a celebrity wife to be like, that was refreshing to see.
I also loved seeing another side of Alec, that of his parenting side. He so obviously a wonderful father. His and Hilariaโs children are really down to earth for celebrity kids, thats a testament to their parents. Their eldest daughter Carmen is just so remarkable. It was really nice to see a glimpse of into their family's lives.
On a personal note, I did have a giggle when the comment was made about De Nero (aka Bob) being on a yacht in the Mediterranean, my husband was literally on that yacht at that time. Ha.
If thereโs a second season I will definitely be watching. I also hope Alec decides to do more movies, he is a brilliant actor and I watch everything he is in.
