Jan Eliasberg has managed to pack suspense, passion, science, and history into a book that brings much-needed attention to a Jewish female nuclear physicist who helped change the course of history.

What a terrific book! Dale Neal is a masterful storyteller, and his latest novel, the Appalachian Book of the Dead, is impossible to put down. Particularly in times like these, we need this book!
