Whilst I appreciated the sentiment of this book and enjoyed learning about the culture and how they adapted to living in a new one, I found it too long. It did not have a strong thread to pull me along therefore I didn't pick it up enough. In the end I didn't finish it. I was bored with the sameness of it. I did enjoy Cinnamon Gardens though.
