A companion to Flags of Our Fathers by Eastwood, Letters from Iwo Jima captures the hardships and the fate of not reaching the light at the end of the tunnel. Within the tunnel, pride and honor are often challenged, even if it meant killing their own. Through the tunnel, there are those who went to the tunnel due to the consequences from their barbaric homeland, who value power over humanity.

Eight characters, eight stories, eight different and connected opportunities in one package, and that's without DLC or microtransactions, from the makers of Bravely series. I put in 64 hours and there are really 88 possibilities, with 11 combinations for each character. While the stories look lackluster, especially in some characters' stories like Tressa, it actually gives a sense of camaraderie, even if their paths are diverse. The music is a turn-on, even if they're reused for all stories, but who keeps track? The abilities of each character are also game-changing, with a thief able to steal NPCs' powerful stuff, or buy it, or interrogate or friendly talk with NPCs, the variation is top-notch. 3.5/5 for me.

Three stories, one package. This game just nails it in terms of content. Even if repetitive grinding is here as the staple ingredient as an RPG, it gives huge diversity due to the Three House concept. The storyline begins in a common route but then branches out akin to a visual novel, it felt like writing a novel then altering it later (like a writer's block then change). Characters are well-thought and well-established, with huge varieties and diverse likes and dislikes. The plot diversity creates unique opportunities that make you think that you're playing a second, a third, or a fourth game. Combat feels iconic, as it always should be. Make one wrong move, and it'll be your undoing or your success. The concept of nobility is also worth noting especially as it affects combat due to the Crest system.

30 hours of investigations, dimensional monsters, and heart pumping action courtesy of the makers Bayonetta, Metal Gear Rising, and Nier Automata. Many stuff to look around: mascots, back alleys, city stuff, at first it looks confusing, but putting them together creates a great world worth knowing, not just to stay away from action, but also know the entire world of Astral Chain. Characters really are aesthetically pleasing, and well written. The ideology of "enemy of enemy" is well thought out that anyone who's not aware of their actions can make a player mistake who the real enemy is. Kudos to the writers.

Nerve-wracking, yet full of the motivation that drove not only Norwegians back in the day, but the viewer as well. Such bravery by Jan and the locals were a true fighting spirit that made the film not so boring. The main antagonist was also well-made as well, just their encounter with each other can make a viewer fear for Jan himself. It's like the viewer was accompanying Jan until the borders. The feeling of being alone was so good. Salute to Jan Baalsrud,
