Eight characters, eight stories, eight different and connected opportunities in one package, and that's without DLC or microtransactions, from the makers of Bravely series.
I put in 64 hours and there are really 88 possibilities, with 11 combinations for each character.
While the stories look lackluster, especially in some characters' stories like Tressa, it actually gives a sense of camaraderie, even if their paths are diverse.
The music is a turn-on, even if they're reused for all stories, but who keeps track? The abilities of each character are also game-changing, with a thief able to steal NPCs' powerful stuff, or buy it, or interrogate or friendly talk with NPCs, the variation is top-notch.
3.5/5 for me.
