An extremely disappointing and highly overrated movie to be honest. On a positive note, the movie is technically brilliant and features a few remarkable performances by the cast, including, for instance, Cillian Murphy and Robert Downey Jr.
The story was narrated in a nonlinear fashion, a hallmark of Christopher Nolan movies which I have enjoyed in the past. However, this time, the three hour run-time in conjunction with the plethora of scenes and (unintelligible) dialogues (thanks to the background score) make the movie far from enjoyable. In particular, I would like to pinpoint the (unnecessary/uninteresting) special effects applied to manifest the psychological state of characters and to highlight the significance of certain scenes.
Throughout its length, the movie was wandering in different timelines with minimal time to process any information which precipitated in a lack of connect with the characters. Overall, I have felt distracted at multiple points in the movie and did not enjoy it in general.
