From what I have seen of " The Chosen" is Bible based. The actors are very good, but I'm not getting the reverence, that feeling of holiness that I expect to get from a Christian story. It's more like a Hollywood movie production, with, bloopers at the end. The music is all wrong, it's not music from that era.
