This is a great game. The graphics, gameplay , and story are all breathtaking. I hate Abby. I wish we could've just played a game of Ellie hunting her. I thought they did a decent job of fixing Abby then she slept with that guy while his gf was pregnant. That made me hate her even more. I do not think lesbian characters, female leads, or buff woman is political. Ellie is a main character and if Joel is killed off she is naturally the lead. What else did we want? Another game of Joel and her? That's redundant. Putting her up against the daughter of the doctor we killed at the end of the first game is smart imo. This game fails us by trying to trick us into thinking Joel was wrong. The problem with that is when I played the first game I was smiling as I lit up the enemies on my way to save Ellie. I knew what I was doing was selfish but the game did a phenomenal job of convincing me it was what was right for Joel. We love Joel (not seriously u know what I mean) They spend half the second game trying to tell u that was wrong. Killing Joel was genius and one of the most memorable and jaw dropping moments I've ever had gaming. To then not take advantage of that with a full on revenge fueled story is ridiculous. We do not need a positive character arc for everyone. Joel was selfish. Ellie avoided that by not killing Abby. Ending the cycle of pain. I understand that. I do not care. When that end fight started I was BEGGING for a button prompt that would end Abby's life. That one of the tapping sequences would end with her suffering the same fate as Joel. The ending of the first game was satisfying because it was what WE wanted for OUR characters. We wanted to kill Abby. They should've at least given us the option.
