I bought this book for several children and had it autographed when it was released. it has been a particularly treasured book over the past 20 years, as we knew some of the people (Irene the cheesecake lady, from Juniors, for one) who were depicted in the story. The book caught many lovely scenes , places and things that make Brooklyn a place where my heart is happy.
I only wish I had kept one for myself.
