Perhaps the best work done by Sting to date, the artist further delves into medieval and Celtic music influences in this incredibly poignant ode to European Christmas and seasonal traditions. Sting lends his unique voice to both traditional favorites, many songs which have escaped mainstream attention, and a few of his own. The setting Durham Cathedral and representation of classical instruments, many of which you might not recognize, creates the perfect mood for a cold winter's night in an overstuffed leather chair with a glass of Lagavulin 16 in your hand.
