Why did anyone agree to act in this? I will generally sit through any old tripe in the name of relaxation or diversion, but this just made me feel weird and empty. There's less than zero chemistry between them, no light relief, they're both appalling in a boring way, the plot hinges on sexual abuse almost as a gimmick; in short, I am amazed such great actors signed up for this miserable turd of a show.

Dull, pointless, corny, and long. Somehow the short 6 episodes felt like an eternity. Also, she ate a few berries like 5 days in, didn't even catch a fish? There's a moment early on where she listlessly licks at an empty energy bar wrapper. Not only was this infuriating, it was emblematic of the story as a whole. The constant flashbacks to this supposedly turbulent family and love life drama were so annoying, I almost wanted the bear to come back and maul the dead guy's body a bit more, have something visceral to counteract the sheer boredom. It's a shame, as the performance is solid, but utterly marred by a dreadful script and storytelling. Skip this trash and watch Yellowjackets or The Wilds.
