I'm trying to like this show. I studied the internal martial arts in NYC China town for 20 years. This show to me is Chinese culture diluted by western materialism. All thing's Eastern have become commodities. She goes away for 3 years and returns a martial arts master. The Chinese teachers will tell you after 3 years we can now start to learn something. A decade of training is minimum to be considered a senior student. The plot is so old and worn-out and realistically employing gang land villains from the 70s does not work. Those types of gangs have minimal influence anymore and don't control businesses the way this show portrays And no genuine Chinese Taoist, Buddhist, Confucius philosophy underlies the story line. I'm disappointed.
