Eyes roll back of head the movie. I needed a whole bottle of red wine to get through this movie. Its the only way to make you laugh at the end. Its that bad. Tone deaf characters. The main character scream social activist. If you like that the fine, if not bring alcohol or some relexant. Not recommend if you want a bit nuance and not into cheap gay camp.

I really like the movie, but the tv series is dire! I never understood why people thought the tv series was funny? I'm not just talking about after series 3 or whatever, but from the beginning of its run. It was really disappointing. It took away from what made the film so unique and special. I tried to watch up to series 2 and gave up. It was trying to be funny but felt forsed and not natural. Three of the main lead cast are British but two of them put on silly accents. It doesn't work. British comic actors trying cater to America style humour is a bad combination. In my opinion at least. I know the original film was done by a New Zealand comedy duo but the humour is more in tune with British sense of humour. This is just anothor crappy America comedy with awful cringe moments. If you like the USA version of The Office and the hate the UK one, then you probably like this. I heard theres a cut off point after series 3 for this run. I heard it goes off the rails after that. So if like the first episode of this show, then probably watch it up to season 3. If dont like first episode, then it's best to stay clear. It won't get any better.
