I would give this less than 1 if I could. I suppose the fact that a film was made should count for something though I suppose.
Gearing up for what is to be Michaelโs FINAL chapter after 44 years of terrorizing. And here he comes folks, here is the big send off and finaleโฆ oh wait noโฆ hereโs a better idea. Letโs make the movie focused on something COMPLETELY different. Ok maybe we can find a scene or two for him to be in but letโs definitely not make the film about him. That would be ridiculous. Rather, letโs do what we did with the last awful installation and turn the Halloween franchise into social messaging about how awful everyone is. THATS a sure way to go out with a bang.
Iโm actually shocked they didnโt shoehorn in a scene where Michael votes the republican ticket just to show what a real evil monster he is. The only thing this film did for the franchise is bump up Halloween Kills from the worst installation in the storied history of Halloween films to now the 2nd worst.
As a stand alone film, this is at absolute best a 1.2 of 10. And as a Halloween film I would give it half that at 0.6 of 10. This is truly one of the worst films Iโve ever seen in my life. For any true fan of the franchise. Do yourself a favor and save the 2 hours of your time. Itโs not even ironically bad enough to warrant a watch. It only pleases me to know that Busta Rhymes is out there smiling in acknowledgement that Resurrection has continue to move up the chain thanks to these last two jokes.
Absolute Yuck!
