Just watched Swatantra Veer Savarkar. This 3-hour long movie is no less than Oppenheimer, IMO. Randeep Hooda has once again outdone himself and killed it by surrendering himself to the process of filmmaking. The storytelling is superb. The theme of the movie is mildly dark and the bgm is on point. We get to see so many characters in a span of almost 3 hours - Tilak, Bose, Ghokale, Gandhi, Godse, and more. Interestingly, the movie also shows how Savarkar stayed with other nationalists in England while completing his Law degree. Loved Madan Lal Dhingra's character played by Mrinal Dutt.
This time Randeep is actor, director, as well as the producer. Overall, a must watch film for acting, storytelling, and cinematography.
