Wanted to like it, Michael B Jordan, vampires and 98% rotten tomatoes... I was excited to watch, until... The first hour of the movie bored me and left me wondering when I was ever going to see vampires or when the plot line was going to find a course. Seemed like it was a repeat of 3 or 4 other movies/TV series I had seen before. To be honest Blade has better graphics and CGI and it is over 20 years old. I found myself laughing during the parts that were supposed to be intense just due to the fakeness of the few blood scenes, the overplayed rhetoric of past movies and past themes... Just disappointed. I honestly would not have finished watching this if I had not paid to sit in a movie theater with someone else.
Not sure where the high percent of rotten tomatoes came from for this movie, but once you start reading the reviews...I am sure you will put 2 and 2 together.
