Designated Survivor - what a brilliant concept for a TV. Series. Season 1 & 2 were excellent - both my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed them. But come season 3 and Netflix had taken over - totally ruined!! Season 3 - Characters were dropped without explanation that had been integral to seasons 1 & 2; exceptionally bad language; shockingly explicit sex scenes; the characters who came from seasons 1 & 2 had complete personality changes - if they hadn’t looked the same we would not have recognized them. Netflix, you ruined a great story that had so much potential. Please keep in mind that most folk want to be ENTERTAINED by a GOOD STORY and explicit sex scenes and bad language DO NOT guarantee this!! An excellent story will never be ruined by leaving swearing out of the dialogue or leaving the sex scenes to the viewers imagination, but a good story can be ruined if swearing, nudity and sex are added just because some bright spark thinks the story needs to up the ante!!! We also do not need such a filthy mouthed character to play the “ campaign manager”. Another mistake is making women swear inappropriately, thinking it will give them the appearance of being strong!! Wake up Netflix - you need to LISTEN to what your customers want and not what you think they want!!!
