Binge watched the whole series and most likely which watch it all again. Enjoyed every minute of it , a real feast of a series with amazing acting from all. Cannot wait for season 2 😁😁

My choice as the best film of 2023.Thoroughly enjoyed this film!. It obviously doesn't appeal to everyone, but , I found it wonderfully indulgent and entertaining. All the characters were believable and acted superbly. I shall be watching it again and again to catch all of it's artistic and humourous gifts. It's one of those captivating, deliciously entertaining films that makes its way into my private collection of cinema greats!. I loved it ... I devoured it. Most definitely a feast of a film. Bravo 👏👏

You take a great story , you add terrific actors and you make a movie. But this movie was made so wrong!. The soundtrack is awful, irritating and clashes horribly with the visuals. That alone can render this movie as being bad, and it's not!. It totally messed up my appreciation of this film and so I've given it 3 stars....it could have been better

Firstly let me say that this series has been made to entertain, I don't expect 100% accuracy or fact, I expect to be entertained, and I was. For Sarah Lancashire to take on this role initially surprised me but I should have had more faith, she ate this role up!. I binge watched the whole season yesterday and it was deliciously enjoyable. The whole thing was an absolute feast for the eyes and ears. The casting, costumes, scripts, and superb acting made for terrific viewing. Well done to everyone involved and thank you for making me very happy for the duration of this brilliant first season!.

This movie had everything for me!. Visually it was an absolute delight that had me hooked from the start. The costume designs were awesome and the characters superbly portrayed by a crew of top class actors. It was a totally delicious example of what film entertainment should be....just brilliant!.

I've just watched this again for the fourth time, so far. It's a masterpiece of a series that has it all. You're held from the beginning right up to the end. I can't recommend it enough!, whether you like chess or not, it has to be viewed to appreciate its brilliance. The sad part is that it comes to an end and you're left craving more of this delicious series.
