I have a must read list and this is one of the books on the list. I have to say this definitely gave me an insight on how bad the propaganda was to create a war. It's funny because it is the same today on what certain politicians used to start wars. Every race has been in slavery the United States was started on indentured slave basically. It's funny how people of today's generation don't realize they are slaves of the government. Every race could claim they have had it bad. I could hold be mad with all race for basically wiping out my race which is Native American. Due to this book I have seen that propaganda has been around for hundreds, no thousands of years to making certain families rich from wars. It is sad that people fall into believing the lies. Majority of the slaves where treated very well, their owners gave them land, they bought them nice things. The indentured slaves most of them didn't get what they were promised. Of course you had the bad owners just like you have bad people in the world. You can't hold anyone responsible for the way life was then. The tribes in Africa actually captured the weak ones and sold them to the people. If they hadn't the would have killed them because they were weak. it is the same today. In every race you have good and bad people you can't blame our generation on what happened in that generation when that was the way of life. If you lived back then you wouldn't have known any difference. This is a good book to really see how propaganda plays a huge role in war.
