This anime is really good in the beginning, as it really does justice to the “Mystery” Genre of anime, as Hotarou Oreki really solves them in a cool way and the Mysteries too are worthwhile as they are filled with thrills. However, towards the end, The Mysteries are kind of dull in comparison to the mysteries in the first 12 episodes . Even a Romantic angle has been presented in the last 2 episodes , but that too has only been touched upon, not elaborated, especially the relation between Hotarou Oreki and Eru Chitanda. The ending despite being good wasn't satisfying according to what one would expect of this series. The animation is really good, and I didn't find any flaws with the animation. However, despite all this, this anime is definitely worth a watch and you will enjoy it. Even those dull Mysteries mentioned in the aforementioned paragraph , aren't that boring, as Hotarou Oreki's ways of solving them still bind us to the screen. This anime is definitely not to be missed.

A beautiful anime which addresses issues about Friendship, fights between friends, jealousy, and most importantly about how the death of a person affects those who are close to him. The anime revolves around Menma , a cute, innocent, childish and cheerful girl, who died while she was very small, at around 10 years of age. But she comes back to her closest friend Jintan , to get her wish granted, after which she would go back to heaven. What makes this anime most interesting is the character of Menma, her innocence , and childish nature, despite coming back to earth as a grown teenager. Dead Menma acts as a uniting for all her friends, who after her death had chosen their own path. But the way she again brings them together is depicted in such a beautiful way. The last episode is really a very emotional one, which will bring tears in your eyes, if you have watched all the episodes.
