I loved the movie right up until I realized that we still hadn't seen Ray, Peter and Winston. And after only a phone call, they show up out of the cornfield proton packs strapped and ready. Theyre around long enough to cross the streams, get beat, and saved by egons grand daughter. They litterly didn't even have to be in the movie. I was so impressed with everything only to be let down hard at the end, as the OG Ghostbusters had absolutely no back story. The one who did was the only actor not alive. I was hoping for a Directors cut maybe like Justice league where they at least show how they managed to get there. They litterly just show at the very end for a few scenes. Peter and Winston might have 10 minutes on screen, with Ray having about 20 seconds more. And Egons backstory was awsome. Oh and we never did see the sentinel dog again after he escaped the trap. Again, no explanation at all. I'm sure Peter, Ray and Winston had their proton packs dusted off and ready to go, just hanging in the closet. Lmfao But where they were and what they were doing in the last 30 plus years is anyone's best guess, short of what Ray says in a couple of sentences. The whole story was so well put together, I was really impressed. But I kept waiting for it to get around to the ol gang, but it never did. And when you finally see them, it made the whole scene and climax seem really really thrown together. Like they either ran out of time or figured everyone would be cool with what was essentially a cameo. Such a let down for an otherwise great movie. If not for that I'd of given it 5 out of 5 stars all day long. But it just never got there lol
