Foolishly I watched this, truly thinking it would be at least a decent horror movie. I should have read the reviews first. But if you behave to read the reviews after watching a movie like this, them you already know it's trash. And trash it was.

I liked this movie very much! I take it as a fictional depiction of what Marilyn Monroe's life was like as an actress in 1950's Hollywood. I don't know much about much her, but she must have been troubled to die the way she did. I know many "woke" White women find this movie sexist and disturbing, but wasn't that the truth in those days? If you're a movie fan you will like this movie without giving in too much of the trauma in the storyline. Acting was fantastic and the way it was shot really puts you in that tragic HOLLYWOOD glam post 1950/60. Worth the experience.

I loved it! It's beautiful, gory, sexy and highly stylized as any true Ryan Murphy fan would expect. I don't care what the critics say, RATCHED was exactly what I'd hoped it would be. It will take you away from everything that is suppose to be real. Getting lost in a time period fantasy such as this was exactly what I wanted. And the acting, gawd it was fantastic!!!!
