Bitterness self-destroys and engulfs all those around; but forgiveness is a choice with consequences that also ripple out. A great novel for children and adults! (and some tissues)

Wow! This is only one family's experience - multiply this over and over and over .... This is an amazing story of the extremes of humanity - from depravity to sacrificing love. The power of the will to survive, creativity and opportunism are all in action in this narrative. It's hard to put down once started, but be ready to be challenged by history!
