I read this book only once, approximately a year or 2 after its publication.
I strongly disliked it.
Hoping my perspective might have changed, I attempted to read it again.
SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER!
When I reached the part where The Doctor states, "We're facing hostile software..." I came as close as I have ever been to burning a book!
Initially, I was thrilled to read this book, captivated by the synopsis and the cover artwork.
However, the narrative was disjointed and chaotic. "Shapeshifting" is the best term I can use to describe it. Most disappointingly, it did not feel like a Doctor Who story. Instead, it resembled comic book nonsense with "Doctor Who" merely stamped on the cover!
As I gleefully recall, around the first time I read it someone else who hated it wrote (on Amazon) "In Transit... to the nearest dust bin."
I sold my copy to another Doctor Who enthusiast and am relieved to have it permanently out of my possession.
