I tried my best to like this show, the premise is cool, I like the cast but I cant do it. I made it 4 episodes in and its terrible. None of the characters are well written, I don't think a single on of them are qualified for there jobs - there is no way they would be chosen for this mission. They had the chance to have a show with a diverse and well represented cast who are all experts in there fields, but not the case :( a first contact mission would be the best of the best, not the train wrecks they sent.

My biggest issue is not really with this film, its with the latest trilogy. This is one of biggest movie franchises in the world and Disney went into this with out a true plan for them. Love or hate the second trilogy but there was a clear laid out plan and story to tell. This one was more 3 independent movies that are loosely based on the 1 before it. As far as this film goes on its own merits, its not bad for a Sci Fi / fantasy film, but after the chills the title gave true fans when it was first announced it never lives up to its own potential.

Love myself some Sunday night football, not a Country music fan but every Sunday evening I cant wait to hear Carrie Underwood sing, than see Chris slide into frame and spend 3 hours loving football :)
