I think that this movie wasn't the best.
The visuals were indeed beautiful, I will not lie. Naomi Scott, Mena Massoud and (ESPECIALLY) Will Smith did an amazing job. I liked their acting and their presence during the film. But some aspects did not need to happen or were just uninteresting.
The scene where Jasmine sings the second part to Speechless was completely unneeded and made no sense in the context of the situation. But hey, anything to get the money from the soundtrack right? And the actor who played Jafar looked completely and utterly bored during his performance. He had a serious scene with Jasmine, telling her that he would be the new sultan and he looked like he was bored out of his mind.
Aladdin wasn't really the best that Disney could do. And I walked into this movie with no real excitement. I was right. All and all, this is a good movie for the kids. But for the adults and the teens, it is not the best. I'd give it a 2/5
