Jeffrey Parker

I thought the main characters and a lot of the others as well, were too perfect, too noble and too fairminded to be taken seriously. I don't believe novels have to parallel reality but this was so far removed in respect to the integrity of the two main characters that it didn't seem believable enough to draw me in deeply. The basic plot was interesting, but as is often the case with modern authors, the ending was disappointing. And the silly counting of the votes was ridiculous. Enough said.
