I recommend this movie. I don't recommend listening to critics that have some agenda against just entertainment and/ or believe every movie needs some new age woke message, art extreme, or cutting edge script and acting.

Good little flick. Just be prepared for the usual questions. That there will be no answers. Which I believe drove critics into despair over this movie. There only two take aways with this movie, a belief in what your doing and accepting loss.

Good flick. Metrocritices pan this for it's lack of pc come woke messages and anti messages but hey, we all go to the movies to escape the bs in real life and our lack of personally being able to over come the establishment, aka "the man", on a daily basis. so take a load off, relax and enjoy joining into the good fight with the Shaft family. On a side note Alexandra Shipp has an odd Emma Peel [ Diana Rigg ] appeal to her.

In a kind of positive way, a Japanese ramen noddle western. Along the lines of Red Sunset [Charles Bronson Toshirō Mifune 1972] but with the stylistic cinematography of 300 that lends that comic book come anime feel and slow motion look used by some Asian film directors. The story is rather shallow and predictable. The action and blood letting is full on but falls short of full horror gore. Which is going to make it watchable for most males that are not wine snobs. The ladies, not so much.

Cute movie. Definitely PG material. lol I've never seen a bird lose so many feathers. It's wonder it ever flew. The school of Dungate has saved a world. No worries though no children where harmed in the making of the movie.

Nice little movie. While it's supposedly based on a "true story" I found nothing to attest to this. In fact quite contrary. Horse and critter lovers will mostly enjoy this, though there is some critter tragedy in the story telling. The big hole in this story is that the apparent value of a horse at the time period was $100-$150 a head. Allowing that the State Department wanted to dump these horse for the cost of their care, I'd venture to say they should have been able to $50 a head minimum. That would be a big bag of money to chuck away that could be used, in theory, to modernize the Army. Not to mention what it cost to chase this herd hither and yon in the manner portrayed. So this movie is worth a viewing and mild entertainment.

Produced in 1984 you say? It has a feel of a 1974 movie. A surrealistic weaving of nightmarish fairy tales stripped from childrens' stories that settles on to were wolves . The narrative is bumpy and spinning as your never quite sure where the story is going to focus or even what time period from the 20th to the 18th century. If you can glaze over some obvious square pegs jammed into round holes in the stage design and meaningless moments that don't really take you anywhere. You might like this movie. It's definitively weird and abstract.

Well this movie was ok. I could hardly stand the the older brother character with his lazy impulsive decision making when it seemed clear he could do otherwise, all the while trying hard to be charismatic. Which seems to be the way this story was written and falls short.

Well be prepared for a modern PC not so historical account of history. If this have been done by a small troupe I could forgive these embellishments, maybe. The only people not represented in this are middle eastern Asians and Arabs. I'm whole for equal rights but why would you want to be a treacherous black Earl or a contemptuous Asian handmaiden? In the end the lesson learned is the unholy shenanigans of white men. The cinematography is splendid and acting solid but not enough for me to wonder if I might not be better off living a life as a hermit and avoid Mary's fate since there is so much hatred against the white male.
